The bed in the lounge was not made up and we had to ask for extra towels as we were a family of 6 and it was only set up 4.
Very clean concerned no smoke alarms especially with 6 heater in the motel. Kids noted this and then said Motels should have recycling options.
Left my shoes: returned to collect them to be told they were going to throw them out, only left 3 hours earlier and to find the owner was wearing them!
Clean, modern, well equipped with good facilities. Recommended.
Start of tranzscenic railway. Seal colony at Westport and Shantytown both worth a visit. Monteith's brewery tour also well worth doing. Bring a raincoat / umbrella or both? Maybe even some westcoast slippers? Enjoyed our stay ay Greymouth.

The apartment was lovely with a gas fireplace and great heating throughout. Lady at the front counter when checking in wasn't very polite or helpful though, a little disappointing for a hotel of this class.

This hotel was very good value and a great place to stay at. The location is very central and convenient, almost directly opposite the thermal pools and an easy stroll to restaurants, bars and shops. Our compact second-floor room consisted of a comfortable king-sized bed from which we had a great view of the snow-covered mountains. The complimentary buffet breakfast was a welcome and delicious bonus.
Would definitely stay there again.
Hanmer is a great place to either relax and unwind or be as activity-packed as you desire. Spending time in the hot thermal pools is a ritual as are walking some of the many forest and hill walks. We took a drive to the Jollies Pass Accommodation House whilst others went in the other direction for a day at the skifield. Next time we will have a round of mini golf and get lost in the maze.

We just returned from our holiday in Queenstown and had such a fantastic time. We have a 8 month old baby and the Rees was the perfect accommodation for us. I can honestly say it was the nicest accommodation we have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect including the portacot and highchair for our baby! The apartments really are special and the views speak for themselves.
