this hotel was a good place to stay
Our stay at Benvenue Motel was a very pleasurable one. The apartment was small , very clean and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. I remember commenting to my husband that it was what sleeping between marshmallows would be like. The hosts were very friendly,helpful. It was a short walk to the restuarants and taverns. I would recommend this accommodation to my family and friends.
The township of Arrowtown is a very unique and beautiful place and well worth a visit. We ate at the Willow Tavern and found the food to be good value for money and delicious and the staff were very friendly and quick to help out with directions and advice on other destinations around the south island. Township is kept and clean and tidy and any visitor will realise how much pride the locals take in their beautiful little township.
All the local shop keepers are very helpful with information regarding every thing even to bus timetables to god places to visit ,eat etc We loved Arrowtown and its people.

Great value for money motel in a nice location.
We got off to a bad start at the hotel with a cleaner trying to come into the room around 10am (despite having a 3 day booking), however the staff apologised and offered a free sauna session. The mattress we had was also of poor quality and slumped in the middle.
Overall the hotel is excellent value for money in Franz Josef and for somewhere clean and comfortable to sleep it's hard to beat it for value.

We arrived on Christmas Day. There was some confusion with the reservation but we got taken care of. We were given suggestions on where to find an open resturaunt with nice clear directions. We felt very welcome and at home.
Great country retreat
The Cottage at Marlborough House was gorgeous. Its a lovely little private retreat close to the city of Bendigo. The solid brick and airconditioning was appreciated on the hot days. It was everything we wanted in our weekend away.

A real little gem and great value!
We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Holiday Lodge. It has a good location just off the main street and we could actually see the sea. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean and had everything that you could want including a good little kitchenette and free internet. The owners were very friendly and helpful too. Just what you need for an overnight stay although I could have stayed much longer.
Definitely recommended!
Narooma was a lovely little town, very pretty with great views. We even saw a whale and baby as we were leaving. It also has a great looking golf course by the sea.
